Today I did a lot of research for my final project, which has to do with character design. That's coming along quite well, and I hope to do more next time.

Robot Final
Today I finished the vector robot using Adobe Illustrator. It turned out relatively well, though I'm not sure what went wrong with the highlights. I'm very satisfied with the coloring and gradients that I produced. I had some trouble with the outlining portion of the robot, but that was easily solved. The highlighting is backwards, I think, but I'm not sure.
Digital Painting!
A while back I worked on some digital painting and I forgot to post it. It is my first time with this, so I'm not sure that it's any good. However, it is a lot better than what I was expecting. This isn't finished quite yet, so it's still a work in progress.

Robot
Today I was working on creating a vector robot in Illustrator. I didn't get very far, but it is beginning to come together. I'm looking forward to working on it more.

Zebrocerous Part 3 (Completed)
This is the end of my work on the Zebrocerous Project. I can't say that I'm quite satisfied with how it turned out, but it is a bit better than I was expecting. The back right leg and the mane are where I had the most trouble, and the horn was kind of difficult too. The body and head, however, gave me almost no trouble at all. Overall, I think the zebrocerous turned out okay.

Zebrocerous Part 2
Today is the second time I've worked on the zebrocerous project. It's coming along slowly but surely. I've gotten the general cropping finished, but I still need to finish blending. The back leg still needs to be blended. I also need to figure out the horns and fix the mane. I'm not sure what to do with the face, but I'm sure it'll turn out alright.

Screensaver Mini Project
Today I followed a tutorial to make a screensaver. The yellow turned out very strangely. The color choice could have been better, and the curves could have been more defined, but I think I did pretty well for my first try.

Zebrocerous Part 1
I've begun the process of creating zebra-rhinocerous (zebrocerous) using Photoshop. So far, the only part that I've completed is cropping the rhino and zebra out. It took a bit longer than I'd expected due to the zebra's mane and tail. Hair is hard to crop smoothly. The rhino went much faster, but I had some difficulty regarding its feet. The next step, however is going to be much more difficult. Blending them together is going to take some time and skill. I'll work more on it next class.

Cropping
Today I learned how to use the lasso tool in Photoshop, and the task was to crop the Statue of Liberty out of a blue background. I think that it turned out pretty well. It was easy to do, and there were several different tools to use, which made it easy. It could have gone a bit faster, because at first I wasn't used to the tools, but I caught on after a bit. This is the finished result:
